Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Guide to Catching Alolan Form Pokemon (Indigo Disk DLC)

Discover the Alolan Form Pokemon locations and complete the Coastal Biome task in Blueberry Academy’s Indigo Disk DLC.

In the latest expansion, The Indigo Disk, of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players venture into Blueberry Academy’s newly introduced area. The academy has crafted an artificial region divided into four distinct biomes, and one of the first stops in the DLC’s storyline is the Coastal Biome, where players meet up with Lacey and the professor. The professor assigns a task to catch Alolan Form Pokemon in the Coastal Biome, and this guide will help you identify and locate these unique Pokemon.

What are Alolan Form Pokemon?

Alolan Form Pokemon, originating from Pokemon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS, showcase variations of familiar Pokemon found in regions like Kanto. These distinct forms have now made their appearance in Blueberry Academy, providing players with a new set of challenges. Here are images of some Alolan Form Pokemon featured in The Indigo Disk:

Where to Find Alolan Form Pokemon:

To easily locate Alolan Form Pokemon, particularly if your Pokedex lacks information on them, engage in a battle with the Pokemon trainer Leo. Leo’s team consists of Alolan Pokemon, and defeating them will add their locations to your Pokedex. Once you’ve obtained this information, proceed to the grassy hill north of the class, as shown in the images below.

In this area, you’ll encounter Grimer and Exeggutor. Approach and weaken one of these Pokemon before attempting to catch it with a Poke Ball. After successfully catching an Alolan Form Pokemon, return to the class and present it to the professor to complete the assignment.

Post-mission completion, Lacey introduces players to BP (Blueberry Points) and Blueberry Quests (BBQs).
Pressing the right direction button displays available quests. Completing them earns BP, used to buy items from Blueberry Academy’s cafeteria or store. Alternatively, players can donate BP to support school clubs in the League Club room.
