Potential spoilers await those who venture online as leaked ROM files and early physical copies of Super Mario Bros. Wonder emerge.

In yet another instance of an anticipated Nintendo Switch exclusive being leaked, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, set to release next week on October 20, is now facing pre-launch leaks. These leaks include the game’s ROM file circulating online, with multiple reports surfacing. Additionally, some individuals claim to have obtained physical copies of the game ahead of schedule. With story and gameplay spoilers potentially lurking, it’s wise to tread carefully online if you want to enjoy the game unspoiled upon its official release.
This is not the first time such leaks have occurred for Nintendo Switch titles, with previous instances involving games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Pikmin 4 in 2023. Over the years, several other first-party releases have also faced similar early leaks.
It’s worth noting that individuals who stream or upload content from unreleased Switch games without official authorization run the risk of facing permanent account bans on certain platforms. Nintendo, for its part, takes a dim view of such leaks and spoilers.
In a parallel incident, Sega’s upcoming release, Sonic Superstars, has also reportedly experienced online leaks over the weekend.
