Diablo 4’s Season of Blood introduces the Pact system, an essential component of Vampiric Powers that allows players to enhance their character builds. This system may seem complex at first, but it’s relatively straightforward once understood.

There are three types of Pacts in the Season of Blood: Ferocity (spiked helmet symbol), Divinity (chalice symbol), and Eternity (skull symbol). These Pacts are linked to Vampiric Powers and determine their activation.
Players can access Vampiric Powers in the Seasonal tab of their inventory. Each power lists its Activation Cost, represented by the Pact symbols alongside numbers. These numbers indicate how many Pacts of each type are required to activate the power. For instance, a power with a ‘1’ next to the skull symbol requires one Eternity Pact.

To acquire the necessary Pacts, players need Pact Armor. Equipping gear with specified Pact numbers automatically grants those Pacts. Players can adjust the Pacts on their armor using Pact-granting items (to add Pacts) or Pact-cleansing items (to remove them). These items are obtainable through Season of Blood activities, allowing customization of Pact Armor to suit their needs.
It’s worth noting that armor pieces have a maximum limit for the number of Pacts they can provide. Players can increase the Pacts granted by these items, but once the maximum is reached, no further changes are possible.

This guide simplifies the Pact system in Diablo 4’s Season of Blood, offering players a clear path to optimizing their character’s build with Vampiric Powers.
