Dragon Quest fans can rejoice as the highly anticipated Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is making steady progress, according to series creator Yuji Horii. This exciting update comes after a period of silence regarding the game’s development. Horii shared this news during an interview with Famitsu at the Cosplay Summit 2023 event in August.

While Horii remained tight-lipped about the specifics of the upcoming major installment, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, he did mention that there isn’t much he can reveal at this time. Fans are eagerly awaiting more information about the next big entry in the series, especially after recent hints like logo updates.
In addition to these projects, Horii mentioned that the Dragon Quest team is busy with various other endeavors. While details remain scarce, this news is sure to generate excitement among fans of the beloved RPG franchise.
The Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake was initially announced during the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary live stream in May 2021, alongside the official reveal of Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate.
