Simbuilder, Roblox Creator, Faces Legal Situation at RDC 2023

At the Roblox Developers Conference (RDC) 2023, an annual event spotlighting Roblox’s innovations, several new technologies were unveiled, including generative AI, enhanced avatar-building tools, and support for PlayStation consoles. Intriguingly, there were even mentions of plans to transform Roblox into a dating platform in the future.

However, amidst the event’s excitement, a notable incident occurred involving Simbuilder, the renowned Roblox developer, Mikhail Olsen. Simbuilder, celebrated for creating the highly popular Roblox Vehicle Simulator, was arrested by the police on September 9th during RDC 2023. Allegedly, he attempted to gain unauthorized entry to the invite-only event and displayed erratic behavior when confronted by law enforcement.

During his arrest, Simbuilder reportedly resisted, pushing officers who were attempting to handcuff him. This incident took place just outside the Fort Mason Centre for Arts and Culture in San Francisco, where RDC 2023 was held.
