Discover the duration it takes to finish the main story and explore the various singleplayer modes in Mortal Kombat 1.

Mortal Kombat’s gripping story attracts fans, yet its depth extends to a compelling fighting experience beyond the narrative. Mortal Kombat 1, like its forerunners, features a concise story mode, usually taking about 10 hours or less.
The latest franchise installment introduces various single-player modes like Invasions, Towers, and multiplayer content, ensuring prolonged engagement.

How Long Is the Mortal Kombat 1 Story Mode?

Mortal Kombat 1’s main story unravels in the 15-part Konquest mode, weaving fights and captivating cutscenes seamlessly. Completion time for this mode fluctuates with player skill and the decision to watch or skip cutscenes.

  • Average Player: Those who occasionally lose fights and opt to watch all the cutscenes can expect to spend approximately 6 to 8 hours to complete Mortal Kombat 1. Cutscenes significantly contribute to the duration, providing an immersive experience of the game’s fresh storyline.
  • Cutscene Skipping Player: Gamers who choose to skip all cutscenes will significantly reduce their playtime. Mortal Kombat 1’s campaign, which involves about 4 hours of cutscenes, can be completed in roughly 2 to 4 hours by bypassing all story elements and diving straight into battles.

Time Required for MK1 Invasions & Towers

Mortal Kom-bat 1 introduces additional singleplayer game modes, making it a more extensive gaming experience.

  • Invasions: MK1’s Invasions mode combines elements of an RPG with the excitement of Mario Party (minus other players). It features stats, a leveling system, shops, and diverse game boards known as Mesas. Completing all Mesas and finishing the Invasions mode usually takes between 5 to 10 hours, depending on player expertise and navigation skills.
  • Towers: A reminiscent feature from the Arcade era, Towers is back in Mortal Kombat 1. Players engage in consecutive battles, with various tiers available—6, 8, and 10-fight challenges in a row, along with an Endless and Survival mode. Completing one of the three Standard Tower versions typically takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Each character’s unique ending unlocks upon tower completion.

Mortal Kom-bat 1 caters to various gaming preferences, offering a range of singleplayer modes to explore, alongside its captivating main story.
