The final boss of the upcoming World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion has been a topic of much speculation among players, with theories ranging from iconic dragons like Murozond to Deathwing. However, a prevailing and highly anticipated theory points to Galakrond, the father of all dragons, as the ultimate antagonist. Recent developments in the game’s lore have bolstered this theory.

In the Fractures in Time update, players are tasked with aiding the Bronze Dragonflight to mend the timeways and thwart the Infinite Dragonflight’s destructive schemes. The final boss of this update, Chrono-Lord Deios, has players battle before the colossal remains of a proto-drake’s skull, which belongs to Galakrond, the progenitor of all dragons.

An ominous cinematic following this battle reveals Primal Incarnate Iridikron’s plan to use “the Harbinger” to lure the Titans back to Azeroth and destroy them in revenge. The Harbinger is suspected to be Galakrond, and the use of Void magic to contain his essence suggests a resurrection attempt.

Galakrond would be an immensely formidable foe, rivaling even the size of Deathwing. Players anticipate a grand and epic battle against this legendary dragon, with hopes of preventing him from unleashing havoc and destruction upon Azeroth. The encounter with Galakrond could be a defining moment in World of Warcraft’s lore and gameplay.
