With the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update, Fingers, a morally reprehensible character, is no longer safe in Night City.

In the sprawling dystopia of Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 offers players encounters with some truly detestable individuals. The city’s harsh environment tends to draw out the worst in people, attracting its fair share of unsavory characters. Fortunately, players have had the opportunity to rid themselves of some of these ne’er-do-wells throughout the game’s main storyline. And now, thanks to a new update, players can add another morally bankrupt character to their list.

Fingers, the ripperdoc with a hand in Evelyn Parker’s tragic fate, was often spared by players in Cyberpunk 2077 due to his impressive inventory of cyberware. However, with the release of the version 2.0 update, which makes cyberware stock available from all ripperdocs, Fingers has lost his appeal. In celebration of this change, players are sharing their inventive methods of dispatching this loathsome character.

For those needing a refresher, Fingers plays a key role in Judy’s questline, as he possesses information about Evelyn’s whereabouts. As the story unfolds, it becomes painfully clear that Fingers did little to assist Evelyn and, in fact, profited from her misfortune, ultimately leading to her tragic demise.

Fingers’ transgressions don’t stop there. Reports of his harassment of sex workers seeking cyberware implants have circulated, exploiting their vulnerability. This alone justifies players’ eagerness to confront him as soon as they enter his office.

What kept Fingers alive on many playthroughs was his exclusive inventory of legendary-tier Cyberware, such as the coveted “Warm Dancer” Sandevistan Mk.5. Players were hesitant to eliminate him, fearing the loss of these valuable items. Even a simple punch during an interrogation would lead to him refusing service and locking players out of his inventory.

Now, with the version 2.0 update, the cyberware system has been overhauled, and Fingers no longer holds a monopoly on this unique loot. Players are sharing their satisfaction at finally putting an end to his reign of terror on Jig Jig Street and enjoying newfound freedom in Night City, where they no longer face repercussions for making the right decision and ridding the city of one of its most sinister predators.
